guess who just failed the smog test...
well, i just got my car smog tested, retardo me who forgot to put the cover back on the stock airbox failed the first try(96 integra). luckily i had the cover in my trunk, so the testers where happy to do it again. i guess they passed some new law? i asked the guy about any aftermarket intakes, even with the carb certified certificates, and he said that he'd have to fail it regardless.....
is this just me? where these guys being pricks? or is it true? anybody else with this experience?

Lemme guess - you live in the Republic of Kalifornia, don'tcha?
Anyway, if the part you put on has a CARB EO sticker they can't fail your car unless is fails sniffer. Try another smog station, then report the first one to the DOT or whatever the right office might be. -OC

In California you report shady mechanics to the Bureau of Auto Repair (BAR).
