old jetta question

how do you determine if a jetta has the 4 round headlights or the two square ones. I'm thinking about buying a late 80's early 90's jetta, but i hate the way the square lights look. Is there a way to determine if it has them by what their called (gli, gl, etc.) and if i can't find one with that style of headlights, could i change the front end to look like that?

I'm not sure which headlight system corresponds to which trim level, but my friend has a 1990 Jetta that originally had the rectangular style. He switch over to the quad round style, and as I recall it was just a simple drop-in. He got most of the parts from RPI in Canada. http://www.rpi-equipped.com/
