Anybody autocross/race? Post some vids/picts/sounds

Here I am in my 95 Ford Contour autocrossing at Douglas (WY) International Raceway.

You must copy the link and paste it into your address bar for these to work.

This is doing a 180 degree turn with a radius of one cone... exit speed about 15mph, shift is at 45 or so. 65 when I let off.

Quick downshift outside the car:

A bit of drifting, then full throttle through first and shift into second, from outside of the car.

This is what dragstrips are good for. Here is some autocross footage showing handling.

Yes, this was my first season auto-x'ing. I did about 5 events this year. There is a shot of me running on my car's website: http://www.vidavision.com/hobbies/shaggymatt/

I just do it for fun, but with all my mods I'm in the SM class, so I don't stand much of a chance. Although, even on my street tires and this being my first season, I was coming within a few tenths of the past state champions. So maybe if I had R compounds, I'd be much more closely matched to them.
