that is one ugly car. thankfully its just a research car, but the steering system is awesome. i would love to how well it sticks to the road in high speed cornering

Butt-ugly, reminds of that fugly Ford open wheel car they made a while back. . . believe it was given the nomenclature of "Indigo." Anyhow, thats some mad camber action they got going there though.

dont BMW and MB already use this steering system in thier cars at a lesser degree and with less technology? most car front wheels turn on a vertical axis, but benz's and bimmers wheels turn on a slightly angled axis. the more you turn, the more the wheel tilts.

man, my parents weren't even in their teens when that came out...
plus, at least it had windshields unlike the "goggle-necessary" Mercedes.

yes - the wheels on my 318 do slant quite a bit...

in fact, it looks like its broken or messed up when they're turned all the way out, but its now.

my E36 3 series wheels dont tilt that much, but my dads old benz used to a lot, i always thought they were misaligned

Actually, alot of larger American cars do this when they are turned to the extremes of the steering system. My parent's old Jeep used to do it, it almost looked like the wheel might just fall off.
