Question Hyper Blinkers

I like the cars that blink all fast, i think its makes people pay more attention to when ur going to turn.
My friend told me to cut the ground wire from my engine to the frame.
that didnt work. I heard it was a bulb thing.
ANY Ideas, comments. Ayudarme por favor.
Thnx

...I only hope you are kidding.

You could always try putting a 24 volt battery in. That might help.

haha - he's screwing with you all that woudl do is blow all the fuses and or electronics in your car

um, i know blinkers blink twice as fast if one of the bulbs is removed on each side... i imagine you could route a power wire from the one working bulb over to the other blinker (front / rear) and use a relay to activate the other blinker. You would have to but + power to the second blinker and replace it with the power from the relay.

but, if you dont know not to use a 24v battery, then (no offense) you have no clue on how to do what i just suggested, so dont try it.

heres some stuff you can do..

method 1: install a lower wattage bulb -- by installing a lower wattage bulb you have effectively raised the resistance of the circuit and therefore the computer thinks that the bulb is burnt. LED lights are low wattage, super bright, and last almost forever.

pros - easy procedure to perform, no splicing/cutting, 100% reliable, all lights remain functional. cons - the only way to return to original blink rate is to replace the bulb.

method 2: Blow some money on a real hyperblinker kit.
http://www.hyperblinker.com/

EDIT: just read ur whole post about how ur car doesnt blink fast when ur bulb is burnt out...so i guess method 2 is ur only way to go =/

You may be able to replace the flasher with one which carries less load.
I know that when you replace bulbs with LED's that they do flash faster, so the cheap trick may be repacing the flasher.
The problem will be :How to size the darn thing!
Another thought: 6 Volt flasher? I know that VW used 6 volts up until about 1960 or so.

I found that the 6 volt flasher trick will work. A lot of older cars used them. Try it

Possibly, if they don't have them, try NAPA.
If your flasher is part of the fuse block and it doesn't fit, you will just have to run two short pigtails from the flasher to the fuse block and let it hang loose(or use a tie wrap so it won't dangle).

hey man - i just got off the phone with som of my peeps in the local OKC Endless Dreamz lowriden' club, and they was sayin to drain out about half of your blinker fluid. They was tellin me not all cars have adjustable blinker fluidz, but some do. If you got a manual for your car, check in there and see if yours is adjustable. Dont drain out to much though, or you'll end up burnin out the blinkers cause they'll blink too fast.

UPDATE: I checked and my honda boyz was tellin me that all hondas be good to go on the blinker fluid. Just gots to find the reserv tank thing and lower it down halfway. Peace Bro!

BTW amigo, si vas a ententar hablar espanol, por lo menos puedes ententar usarlo en una manera correcta. Por cierto, gracias por proveernos con unas risas buenas.

here be my pimpin ride:

all you need to do is replace the main flasher unit with a faster blinking one.... I don't know where to get them....

Damn. . . bunch of jerks trying to screw him over. You just have to add a second transmission then it'll double your blinking speed. For some extra fun add a third and whooooweeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. My friend did it to his crx and my friend had convulsions since it was blinking so fast. Oh yeah stay away from the automatic trannies they screw up your valve timers.

Thnx a ton for the help nano bro, but do u have a clue where that tank would be? i dunt have a manual for my car. thnx
(tengo dos gatos in mis pantalones, 2 years of spanish class and that all i remeber.)

hey nano
i was looking into the blink fluid thingy, this is somehting i read:
"
Dear Auto Repair Guide,
The problem I'm having with my cars is the blinkers. Over the last year I have noticed that they have been blinking slower and slower and last week they stopped working all together. Do you have any idea what has happened?
Blinkless in Biloxi

Dear Blinkless,
I'm willing to bet that you have run out of blinker fluid. Not too many people know that the blinker fluid should be changed every 30,000 blinks or once a year, whichever comes first. I would check the blinker fluid reservoir and top it off with some fresh blinker fluid and that should get you blinking again.
"

It sez more fluid, the faster it is? i guess ill just have to try.

And for pple reading this with newer cars, this is the way to trick ur car into thinking a bulb is dead.
Quick Blinkers

From: Jose Jamir
To quick blink your '94+ Integra unscrew the side corner lamps out in the front. Get the connection to the bulb in the front (the big bulb in the turning signals). Then look for the ground which is the wire connection in the middle. You can't just pull it out so you have to disconnect the bulb to expose the wiring inside. Get a small, thin, flat piece of wire and push on the clip of the middle connection wire. Once you have out the wire put the bulb back it and you should have a quick blinker. Cover the exposed ground with electrical tape to play it safe.

(works on all newer cars)
Peace

well, the problem is that they lest their blinker fluids get tooo low. if it gets too low, then the bulbs start to burn out, and then they stop working. half full be ok, but dont get it too low aight?

BTW, i was doin som o me own reaserch for my bro who gots a honda accord.. .his fluid be in under the fluxcapacitor behind the injector coils. check there and see whats you be findin'.

peace.

depending on your car, just putting the wrong bulb size maybe make it blink faster...or you can just by the hyper blinker kit for like $20 off ebay...

edit: it's VTEC, not V-Tech...

no no, he means v-tech, the makers of the worlds cheapest crapiest phones. But when added to a car, especially the 2.4GHz models, it boosts your power up a bizaaatcha load. Doesn't work to well on domestics for some reason.
