i actually saw a pic of the EVO VII in the newest road & track and it looks really cool. a lot better than i imagined (being a fan of the VI). the editors liked it better than the M3 coupe too.

yeah, the new evo looks sweet. i cant wait for it to come out, i just hope i can afford it when it does. i read that article too, but i dont think that the editors for any popular car magazine would give a mitsu a better review than an m3. its just unheard of. the bmw 3 series (including M3)is a benchmark for that class. i thought thier remarks were favorable, but they would never admit that it is a better than an M3. im waiting for the subaru wrx sti too. not really sure which one i want more, but imo the evo looks a lot better. i wish they would put the performance of the evo or sti into a german luxury sedan body style. of course the germans are getting a little wierd with thier stuff (read: new 7 series)

From what I've been reading, I hear that the pictures you are seeing of the EVO right now are not the one that will be coming over stateside within the next year or so. Supposedly we're supposed to be getting the EVO VIII which will be styled a little bit differently. Also, power will supposedly be tuned down to 250 or so, which will still take anthing off the line.

i too agree with u on the rear wheel drive thang, but as a broke senior its hard to pay for a R32. my 90 civic is all my bagboy budget can afford. i really wanted a nissan 240sx, but i got a deal on my civic.
