Yes, the Civic EX uses a VTEC engine. As for going black, just know what you're getting in to. Black cars look great when they are clean, but they need to be washed all the time and scratches are easily visible. As for pricing, try www.kbb.com and look it up. |

what is your price range? are you switching over to manual for the "fun factor"? if you are, you might want to consider buying a used integra gsr. the vtec is not noticable on civics, not that it is very distinct on the gsr's.
will you be modifying the car? either/or, civics and integras have great aftermarket support. just choose them wisely.

Keep your Civic LX and do a swap (B16 or B18C + manual tranny)!

my price range is pretty much 13000 and down. i may sell or trade my car in. i can get abotu 10000 for it i think. it has really low miles on it. less than 10000. im switching over to manual basically juss so i can learn to drive it while im young and id pretty much rather stay with a civic, even tho honda makes both integras and civics. fixing it up will be minor. maybe an exaust, rims, intake. but thatd be about it. id do that if my car wasnt green i can get it painted i know, but i dont wanna go through that hassel. i know someone that got his painted and they did a sh*tty job on it and his paint is coming off |

how come? =) if you wana stay with a civic, the 95 hatch backs are damn fun to drive with a beef'ed up suspension =), you can find them fairly cheap, and with the money you save, you can allocate to mods... i picked up a 96 black gsr for 12g's with 35k miles last summer, and i have no regrets...they maybe torque-less, but the high reving sold me. |

Sorry man, im a Team associated man. im really into my B3. electric is soo much more reliable and cleaner. my car hits around 50-60 mph with my modified motor, and normal gearing. I had an old gas truck and that thing pissed the hell out of me. if i want gas ill stick to my honda. ![]() |
