Cost per mile: About 1/2 the cost of a gasoline car for the average commuter.

In other words, if you--god forbid--carpool, you see no economic advantages and are far safer.

And an 80 mile range, eh? Okay, so I will get to work and halfway back? I don't think so...

it looks like its made for gumby. I would be afraid to be hit by a biker while in one of those. I think the huffy would win.

Their website has an "aqua" theme to it like OS X (see the gallery). I like it, but the car is still a piece.

I bet it corners like crap. Can you imagine going into a turn in one of those at anything over 30 MPH!!!

I dunno. They might be ok for some markets...

In the downtown areas of major cities, the small size and
quick performance would be incredibly handy. You could park almost anywhere, and zip in and out of traffic where bigger cars would
be stuck.

It's not a smalltown or rural car. Range is too short. And it's obviously not a long-commute car for the same reason.

The real issue, though, is price. What are they going to cost? If you could get your hands on one for $6K, they'd sell like hotcakes in cities. If they cost as much as something like a Civic or Geo Metro, or Neon, then they're doomed.

Unless you're paying for the plane tickets,
why don't we just say you kicked my a$$, and we
can both save the airfare.

I'm used to it. If I told my wife wider
was better, she'd beat me so hard I'd
be in traction for a year. Women, apparently, are very sensitive about their hips.

I think it's very cool . It would be very useful in urban areas. As for safety, it does say this:

Quote:
Because safety is such a concern for small cars in particular, we have designed the Tango around a roll cage that meets or exceeds both SCCA and NHRA regulations.

Not bad. If you get into an accident, you probably would be okay if it really meets those regulation standards. It would probably be a very bone-jarring crash though.

What I've noticed about small cars:

In single car accidents, they tend to bounce off, and the people inside are usually uninjured.

In multiple car accidents, especially if they are sandwiched... well, I hope you like sloppy joes...

Better to cave on the ones that don't matter so you can win the ones that do...
