I remember years ago when I was test driving a Camaro SS convertible a story the sales person told me. Apparently he had a customer who had just had to replace the same car after only owning it for a few weeks. From what the dealer told me the guy decided to take the car up to speed on a back road. He apparently got the car up to about 140 or so when there was a big gust of wind and lifted the car off the ground. Next thing the guy knew he was 30 feet in the air wrapped in a tree.

The car was obviously totaled but the guy was only minorly injured. I still dont know if this is even possible, but he said something about the tree actually being below the road, which makes it somewhat plausible.

I believe it. I used to drive a slightly-modded firebird and somewhere between 135-145 I felt that heavy American car feel very light (and got minimal movement from the steering wheel). The problem is that the suspension is too soft(for a softer ride). so you can get a springy sort of movement in certain conditions. And it starts to bounce like a ball. scary
