I haven't kept up on the car stereo market, but Pioneer was always one of my favorites for cheap--relatively--quality.

jl subs are great, but their amps are kinda expensive...you will probably need a new head unit cuz most stock decks dont come with enough preouts. id go with alpine or pioneer for the unit, jl or boston acoustics for the subs, and mtx or rockford fosgate for the amp[s]

i wasnt ballin when i got my stereo...i have the sony xplod deck [stay away from sony decks!!], rockford fosgate fronts subs and amp, mtx amp, and soundstorm rears.

i warn you, once you add subs, you will want to add speakers...like components and stuff...hope you got the dough...
