yeah - you'll eat your tires up about twice as fast...... or faster.

in my old geo, i used to peel out every light, oralmost every light... a set of 70k mile tires lasted me less than 12k hehehe.

I peel out a lot in my sticky tires now too in the BMW... they've lasted me what i expected - a little over 8k miles. But, i autocross them and they're very soft.

I took the car to the drag strip... i was burning (smoking) the tires in 2nd gear hehee....

i do that sometimes at autocross too. Its funn... People drop their jaws seeing my little car burn rubber in 2nd gear BEFORE i get accross the START line hehehe.

It's sad... I think some of the intersections in Southern California actually require you to burn out. Either that or get t-boned.

i do it... lately i've been doin it quite a bit. i'm on my "burn-out/haul ass/race every car in sight" spree. it comes n goes

i used to do it alot more with my old pair of tires. but i had to get new ones since they got stolen ( i found my car sittin on blocks one morning). dont know y they would steal cheap, stock tires - but whatever.

now i dont do it as much, except on my spree's.

Most definitely fun, also definitely hard on the wallet. But I think most young drivers have a tendency to do that anyways.

Burnouts are more fun in the bigger minivans.

First and second is all good, but will your car spin them at 100mph in fourth gear by just planting the throttle(no clutch pop)?

edit: I wasn't too clear, this is while I'm already going 100mph and stomping the throttle down, it spins.

I never spin my tires more than I have to.

I thought if you do too many burnouts the tranny would overheat and then eventually mess up the internals
