I bought a plastic door handle repair kit like this and I need to know where I can get some paint to paint it to match the existing tan color of the door. And do you think I should paint the entire inside door panel or just the replacement part?
Thanks, GrapeDude Oh yea it is for a 1993 Ford Explorer Eddie B. package |

I recently got American Accents made by Rustoleum at Sears Hardware to paint the metal and plastic panels in my truck. It went on nice and it appeared to soak into the plastic(if that's what it really does). They have quite a few shades.
If you want to make sure, look under Auto Body Shop Supplies in the phone book and ask the guy at the counter if you go there. They are generally pretty helpful. |

Try an auto or boat interior shop. Regular paints might not last as long and will scratch offcompared to plastic dyes(still spray on). I've used some silver and its lasted for years. There is some prep work involved. There are some places that can mix you a can of dye if you bring in a sample piece, but a paint gun is required for application.
Good luck |
