why do people feel the need to key nice things?
my friend just got a brand new mistubishi lancer parked it at school today came out and it was all keyed up. wtf is wrong with people. seriously someone gets something u dont have just let it go. no need to go ruin it. man it sucks for him...good thing it wasnt my car cause u all know what would happen if someone keyed my car (it involves violence and a baseball bat). ugh just pisses me off and he has to pay for a new paint job

Why would someone key a Lancer anyways? It's not like it's something to be envious of. Did your friend park in a junior high school parking lot because it's extremely immature to key up someone's new car just because you are jealous of them. Even though it's really no excuse, but did your friend majorly piss someone off?
I saw a black Suburban on the freeway with the words "f--- you" keyed all across the side. |

I don't think its a matter of envy either...Never thought Lancers looked "good" to begin with. I think someone's just messing with him. Its probably more like a random act.
I had the trunk of my old MX6 carved with someone's initial once. I think it was just kids in my case. Still irritating, but I doubt the kids did it because they were "envious" or anything. |

i had my car keyed when it was parked in front of a school.. my community college was across from a private HS.. and I thought, hey, i have a great parking spot, right near school.. came out, and oh boy was I

nope we park in the high school parking lot...his car was 4 down from mine. i dunno why someone would key it but it isnt like something small the whole thing is all keyed. he hasnt pissed anyone off latly but he is majorly pissed

Well I seem to remember HS and if memeory serves me, some of the people in HS are REALY petty....you never know what they were thinking (or smoking) when they did that to your friend's car...and I agree with you Snow, the baseball bat will sove all your problems.

yeah, if it was at your HS, chances are you and your friend probably know the person who did it, in which case, who KNOWS what reason that person may have had to key the car...
then again, it just might have been random, but it sounds like a pretty extensive keying job to just be random...

we park all the way in the back too. i dunno guys i still dont see a good reason to key a car and screw up someone else's possessions. if i have a problem with someone i will go have a talk with them and if worse comes to worse then ill beat them up but never touch their car. i know how much time people put into their cars (like the amount of time i am putting into mine) so i wouldnt want to reck it. ugh people are so frickan stupid sometimes

One day a friend of mine say his car's hood have the words "Big Gay Mexican" keyed into it. Weird thing is he isnt big, gay or a mexican so we were at a loss.

yet another reason i havent painted my car all nice and shiny... its not as much fun to key up dull dirty oxidized paint hehe.
sorry about your friends car though... really sucks. Just another one of those times you wish you had a camera in your car.

dude, that sucks.
i dunno....my guess is that it isn't anything personal. maybe people in my HS were particularly idiotic (in fact, i know they were), but random keyings based on how nice a car was were quite common. some people just shouldn't be let out of their padded cells :rolleyes; |
