New Hondas
Anyone here have any experience with first-gen Hondas? I'm thinking of an Element, but want to know how Honda is with reliability and other issues that pop up with first generations of a car model...

I have a..well, not first gen, but first model year honda civic 2001, and the only problems I had were bad struts that were fixed under recall. Otherwise, no issues. I've owned oh, 5 hondas, and never a problem. Of course, Elements are butt ugly, and that isn't a warranty item.

while it is only my first honda, my new 2003 civic has had no problems whatsoever, as i would hope with only 3200 miles on it. oil change every 10000 miles, gotta love it!

The Element is almost as ugly as the Asstek.

BUT! the difference is that the Aztec is ugly and non-functional. The Element is ugly b/c it's useful. I drove one over the weekend, and it's suprisingly fun to drive. It responds well, and has oodles of storage. 70+ cu. ft. with the seats up or out. Blu |

If its theres one thing these forums have taught me, is not to diss on ones taste in cars/music/etc... so if he likes it, thats great. but in blu's defense i like the car too. it looks great, i like the defined lines and the suicide doors. Maybe it looks funny in commericals, but its a good lookin car up close.
one thing u can diss, is the lack of power, i think they shouldve gave it a little more punch. o well. Dan

aztec's are pretty functional. The back is supposed to open up into a tent, and it's supposed to be a great outdoors and/or tailgating vehicle. that said...it's butt. |

I'm not dissing anyone's taste. I'm just saying that the Element is ugly. Almost as ugly as the Asstek. Everyone has different tastes, and I don't care to taste the Element. |
