Bought a car to fill the void today

Well I finally just said the hell with it and bought a car to hold me over for a few months. Some people might say what the hell, but due to the fact that we got preferred pricing it made for a pretty good deal and will make this pay off in the end.

The final verdict, for the next few months at least, was a Black with Black leather Ford Mustang GT. Five spoke chrome rims and appearance package too. Its a beautiful car and fun to drive...plus it gets much better gas mileage than my truck did, which is good right now.

We figured out that due to the preferred pricing and additional rebates we ended up getting it for $3400 under dealer invoice...so any depreciation that will occur will not effect what we paid. I ended up booking out a 2002 with 7000 miles on it and its near what we paid, so this should work out well.

When I get a chance I will grab a couple of pics of it to post up too.

The length of how long we keep it depends on when I get a new job. Basically about a month or two after I get a new job, this car will go bye bye. We figure that it will probably be for 6 months or less.

As for our preferred pricing, its called supplier discounts. For Ford its called X-plan, for Chevy its called GMS supplier. Its because of where my fiance works...they do check your credentials and its only available to the person who qualifies. The price we get is non negotiable but is below dealer cost, they get reinbursed by the manufacturer for the difference. Since the discounts still apply, it goes lower.

Damn cheap.........without going into details, it was less than dealer invoice before all the rebates and that dropped it even lower.
