Wax, Polish, Detailing
I've read in the BMW forums (and other automibile forums) that the car polish system from Zaino Bros is supposed to be kick-ass. I've never heard of this stuff until now. I've always thought that Maguires was the ultimate. Howewver, I keep comming accross rants and raves about this stuff. Is it really worth it and does it realy make a differecne??

Meguires isn't even close. Zainos Bros is very good. If you have the time, Malms is great, and repels dust well. If you don't have as much patience, Klasse is also very good.
http://www.deckowski.com/wax%20off/greatwaxoffintro.htm I used malms for ages, back when I really really liked my car. Hehe. Their polish is excellent too, if you have good paint (it's ultra-fine, especially the Formula 10). If you're a real crazy, get their paste. http://www.malms.com/ext-conc.html |

Cool...thanx for the info/link. Sounds like a couple of coats of Zaino then a few coats of Malms is the way to go. I was really supprised by the off-road dust comparison. I hope that the site is updated with further results of combonation of products.

Zaino works well, if you do it *correctly*.
Keep these two in mind when you wax: 1. New applicator pads (do NOT mix) 2. Use ONLY micro fiber when you "wax off" (you'll see a HUGE difference in the shine) Thats all ![]() |

I wasn't a true believer of Zaino until last year when I saw my friend detailed his car in front of me. I had been using Meguires (it was good but not as good compared with Zaino). Give it a try. You won't regret it. The only disadvantage of Zaino is they are not available at retail store like PepBoys. You can either order them online or give Zaino-Bros a call/email and ask for a local distributor.
Here is their link: http://www.zainobros.com/ Best luck. |

Zaino is pretty easy to do "correctly" so I wouldn't be too worried, I started using zaino about 2 months ago and now I'm a convert. I always stuck to regualar carnuba waxes especially, the professional meguairs line #7 glaze and the #26 wax, and I tried the expensive zymol, not the cheapie one from pep boys. Zymol wasn't worth the money and meguiars is good stuff but when you use zaino, you'll notice a big difference in shine and durability. The down side of zaino is that the look is slightly more plasticky coat, rather than a deep carnuba shine in a dark car but this depends on taste. Check out www.autopia.org in the forums for everything you need to know about any wax or sealant. you can also buy zaino from www.lazaino.com
