State Farm To Customers: No Nuke Claims

As if the potential for nuclear reactions from North Korea and Iraq weren’t enough, State Farm’s automotive insurance unit informed customers last week that fusion-based Armageddon won’t be covered by their car policies. The U.S.’ largest auto insurer of more than 40 million policyholders has already begun alerting customers that it won’t cover the fallout from, er, nuclear fallout. The company had removed similar language in its policies in the early 1980s, Reuters reports, but is adding it back in all policies by June of 2004.

I think this policy is enforced across all insurance companies but State Farms never put it on paper (for auto insurance).

but, if you live in Alabama....

check it out... When I went to school in Alabama (save the jokes, folks, I live in Florida now, so I hear those jokes too!)my girlfriend's car was covered by State Farm and specifically stated that it was covered by missles. We didn't have the heart to tell her that missles meant anything flying through the air since she was from Cape Canaveral and missles meant "missles". I ended up marrying that girl and you know what? We still have State Farm.

I hate it when that happens. It always looks funny either way.
