heh, any explanation on why? and 'sides, you likely wont find a Maxima in that price range, with it being only 98. whats the purpose of the car? general drive around the city.. or... then again, with that price bracket, and the model year that you're looking at, you're severely limiting the options edmunds.com rates subaru's a good buy for used. perhaps the impreza? how bout a station wagon? ![]() |

Yea budgets kind of limit you don't they ![]() In any case, chances are that every young Russian kid in New york will have a maxima, or at worst an altima... and all the chinese kids have accords and civics, and frankly i'm kind of sick and tired from looking at them (civics and accords that is ).So i would like to stand out a bit. And althought there are russian kids whoes parents bought them BMWs yes even 745s and i know plenty guys that accumulated sl500 and sl600 Benz's, i'd still rather get a BMW 3 series then a maxima |

Because Japanese cars tend to be more reliable, and when you buying a used car, reliability is probably one of the first things you look. |

my beef with jap cars is that although they are safe, crumple cages and all, if you are in an accident, your car is ****ing gone... totalled, i've seen accidents similar to the one i had and that civic just folded in half, whereas the mark vii was fine, a lil scratch on the bumper is all. So i'm thinking either american or german |

Speaking of American cars, I bought a 2002 SVT Ford Focus (170 HP) today for $14,400. It's one sweet ride (6 speed). Their extended warranties were reasonable but I opted to think about it. It's got a 6 disc changer, a subwoofer, and a sunroof. It comes with more things that I care to name off standard (power everything, cool little buttons that do things on your steering wheel, all leathery goodness, etc.) and best of all it's REALLY fun to drive.
