Women typically are better drivers than men.

How THE HELL did they do that to a brand new car? Bet the stupid driver had the SUV mentality that since it's AWD, they can take turns as if it was a slot car.

I think it's more of a select few. Statistically maybe there are more men bad drivers, but when I see shyt like this I think the bad women drivers are worse than the bad men drivers.

I bet it was the wing on the back that caused the accident. The car probably just took off

Ok, going non scientific here:

Here's the thing, certain men tend to continuously get into wrecks because of their reckless driving and constant speeding. Other men just don't get into wrecks.

ALL women will wreck at least once, their fault, during their lifetime.
I personably believe a lot of women lack the motor skills (the mental kind. i.e. hand eye coordination). This does not mean all women; there are exceptions to all rules.

People also tend to forget that the statistics include drunk drivers, which mainly only men drink n drive.

I agree with this 100%, if men can keep the speed racin On the track, we would have a better record. So when women crash its usually not too bad. (this being an exeption.) But men go 80 on the 25mph roads and crash their accords into trees. im done.
ok i lied, btw i usually cry when i goto junk yards because i see all these nice cars fcuked up.

If you wanna cry go here www.ecocar.com/cars.html, then click on one of the cars, then cry your heart out. Most of these cars have been totaled, some are in clean condition. If you really want to cry click on the Porsches.

Well, I'm not scientific, but I sure know that the insurance companies are. And they generally give women (at least in the under 25 bracket) lower rates, which means lower risks.

i'd say that women are more safe because they don't drive the cars they have (specifically sports cars) the way they're supposed to be driven. i hate it when i see a woman driving a sports car (saw a woman driving a C32AMG the other day) just cruising, yadda yadda. what a waste! give me that car and i'll use it to its potential! heheh.

In general, womens insurance is not lower than mens. The only time there is a huge disparity is when men are sub 25 and that has to do with the fact that there is a perceived danger that males in the sub-25 age group are more likely to speed and take risks.

Once you are married, even sub 25, they assume you wont take risks anymore because you have someone who depends on you. Now after you hit that magical 25th year, suddenly the mens insurance drops alot and womens stays about the same...meaning the men pay less in the long run.

It was recently talked about on the news how they are raising the insurance rate of women under 25 to that of mens' rates because the perceived idea of women being safer drivers (mainly due to the fact that more men drove then women in previous decades) is being erased. That's right. Equal rights to all, baby.

i'd have to agree with df...

being a cautious driver doesn't necessarily make you a good driver.

A good driver means you can make good quick decisive decisions and can concentrate on multiple things at one time. Just because you CAN BE a good driver doesn’t mean you are all the time. For example, overall men are better drivers, they just choose to speed and take unnecessary risk. The reason they take these risk is possibly because they feel that they can handle this extra speed and challenge and it pushes their abilities to the limit. And a cautious driver does NOT make a good driver. My mom for example could be considered cautious driving 55 on the highway when the speed limit is 65, and too add she does this at night in her tiny Toyota Corolla. She did that with me in the car one night, I about soiled myself.

A "cautious" driver can be much more dangerous because they me be cruising along at 55 without a care in the world and not getting themselves into an accident, but can surely cause one. Someone who has no idea how to adjust their speed on a merging lane or in the slow lane when on-ramp traffic is merging is extremely dangerous to other drivers around them. That's why I'm so sick of these so called statistics that say that old people aren't more dangerous because cars could be crashing around them because of their stupid driving and they would have no clue as they crawl along their way.
