I wonder what the owner of that SUV would have done if it was towed and then placed in a compactor?

I don't think that mentality is confined only to Texas. You'd probably see this same scenario in parking lots across the country.

I can't quite make out the state on the license plates, but it looks like either Lousiana or California.

I don't live anywhere near Cali, so I don't see the license plates every day. Having lived in eastern Texas, I saw quite a few Louisiana license plates and you have to admit that there is a similarity.

Even taking the image into photoshop it was hard to decipher.

Being old and all, to ME a "compact" is being compared to the days when a full sized car was something like a '74 Buick Electra 225, a "land barge" by todays standards so yeah, even that SUV looks like a "compact"

"Midsize" cars from the early-mid 70s would be considered to be HUGE cars these days. Todays "fullsized" cars aren't even close to being that big.

So, my '86 Volvo 745T (turbo wagon).....definately a "compact" car to me

So you think. But we have to deal with people who will back into us in the parking lot because their field of vision is much higher. I've had that happen to me at Fry's in Anaheim. Pissed me off. Guy just took off. Damn Jeep Cherokee. It's not as if I'm a rice boy with a slammed car either.

that happened to me not even a week after i got my civic. this was at church too. i was sitting in my car talkin to a friend, and this truck starts backing out of their spot in front of me. they kept going and going really slow. i honked when he got too close but too late... thats when he hit.
