Automobile power adapter extension?

I found a device that will allow me to use my powerbook in my car, but I want to be able to use it from the back seat(when I am being chaffeured around like a bigshot) so I need something like a 6 foot extension for the power plug. Do they make such a thing?

Here is the adapter for my powerbook:

Any suggestions? Thanks fellas.

Sure, you can get a cigarette lighter extension cord many places that sell cell phones, radar detectors, or automobile/RV accessories. I'd be willing to bet that most auto parts places and probably Walmart or KMart would have them as well. Here is a link to a place that sells splitters and extension cords.

Hope this is what you were looking for...

I'd recommend buying a DC to AC converter instead. I bought mine for about 20 bucks and it converts the cigarette lighter plug into a 12v outlet like that in your house. I use it to charge my laptop and cellphone. The good thing is that if you buy a new laptop or cellphone, you don't have to get a new adaptor. SHuts off automatically so doesn't drain your car battery completely.

Here's the one I have,

but i bought it on sale at fry's electronics.

But that's very ineffecient, as you'd be converting from DC to AC and back to DC again.

actually i think the idea is to not even get the dc power adapter for the powerbook, and just get the dc->ac converter and use the normal plug for the powerbook. that way, you can use that dc->ac converter for anything instead of having to buy a dc power adapter that can only be used for the powerbook.
