that joke about BMW's having their pricks on the inside seems to be very true right now.

In the last four days, I've come across 6-7 of the most inconsiderate drivers I've seen on the road in the last year or so, and guess what they were all driving? It's one thing to be dangerous on the road and drive your Bavarian creme-puff like it is a high class sports car, but it is another thing completely to be rude and inconsiderate.

Each car does seem to have certain types of people who are drawn to it. I personally haven't seen too many pricks in BMW's but i'm not doubting the possibility.

Most BMW drivers are people that buy the car for status...most people that buy things for status are pricks.

There are a lot of BMW owners who are true enthusiasts...but some of them are pricks, too.

I'll admit to being rude now and then on the road, but that's in almost any car I drive, not just the BMW - but only when someone is rude to me first. Golden Rule.

What did they do, cut u off because you were going the speed limit in the passing lane? Be more specific. And the status issue, they probably worked there ass off to afford a bmw, dont be hating.

I can afford a far better car than I drive, but I choose not to. Why, because I'd rather have the cash for a later time. For me a car is for transportation (to get from point A to point B). I don't need to impress anybody.

But yea Why cant u go from Point A to Point B in style?!? They do call it the ultimate driving machine, and man they dont lie. Its more than a luxury car, its a finely tuned german engineered road hugging machine. So u dont need to impress anyone, just treat urself better.

LOL, no. The last time a Beemer passed me, I just sped up, trailed him, and laughed every time he had to slam the brakes going around a corner. And trust me, that is quite pathetic considering the car that I drive.

Anyway, I'm not talking about people doing things just to me. I get pissed when they cut other people off too, or weave through traffic and nearly cause an accident, push people out of lanes and nearly drive them off of the road, force themselves into a left turn through an intersection AFTER the light has already turned red, and the list goes on.

I dunno, maybe where u live ladoga there isnt a lot of BMW's runnin around, and the ones that u do see, are owned by lawyers. (I blame everything in the USA on greedy lawyers, and lack of Siesta's) As for the bad driving, here in southern califonia, it doesnt matter wat car it is, but everyones driving like crack-heads.

I've lived in both Northern and Southern California. The story I relayed about the BMW driver was something that happened to me in NorCal. He was obviously from "outta town," but I would think that someone that invests that kind of cash in a "sports car" would know how to drive even halfway decently. It's not even like we are talking about hair-pin curves... I was taking them at 80-85 until I had to slow down for his sorry ass.

And as for being down in SoCal, I know how bad most of the drivers are, but there is a difference between bad drivers and inconsiderate drivers. What you are saying is that because someone pays $20K more for a car than someone else, they should be able to bully them on the roadway.

As for my car--actually, it's not really mine, I'm just using it for the time being--, it's a '94 Escort... Wagon.

I'm going to have to agree with you here. I like BMWs, don't get me wrong. I mainly like the ones with a M on the trunk lid. The thing is, MOST BMW drivers out there are total a-holes because they think they own the road just because they have car that they probably paid too much for. They make it look bad for those who are the true enthusiasts.

I drive an Accord that I'm perfectly content with for now until I have money for a WRX STi.

In what way do I sound bitter? Yes, there are plenty of inconsiderate SUV and rice drivers too, but I thought we were talking about BMW drivers here? I live in west LA and the following drivers are the ones who are predominantly the inconsiderate drivers I see. Those driving BMWs, Porsches, SUVs, old people in big land yachts, anyone holding a cell phone, and riced out cars. These are the types who weave in and out of traffic and park all crooked in the parking spots because they just don't care. In my apartment complex, there are four different 3 series BMWs with owners living in different units. I always see 3 out of 4 of these BMWs parked crooked in their spots either because they don't know how to park into a large parking slot, or they just couldn't care less how much room they give to the people next to them. Am I generalizing? Yeah, sure, so what? I said most, not all. There are always exceptions. I drive an Accord with some nice rims and an exhaust. Does that mean I rev everyone I see and my muffler sounds like a fart cannon? No, because I'm an exception. Do most people with fixed up Hondas do things like that and do I acknowledge the truth? Yes. Do I try to defend those that do? No.

i'm a dick on the road... i dont go pushing people out of their lanes or anything. slow drivers frustrate me so i do weave most of the time just cus i think the speed limits are all about 10 or 15 miles under what i think they should be. normally i dont use my blinker, but if they car is somewhat close, i will use it just because it's a little too rude to just cut them off like that, unless they deserve it.
weird thing is that when they cut me off, and they're also doing the weaving, i dont mind it. but if they're slow and they cut me off... i'll tail your ass.

But heres the bottom line, it doesnt matter what car the inconsiderate driver is driving, pple just seem to care more because there in a BMW.
Fcuck the people in SUV's that take up my compact spot. And Fcuk the people that drive the speed limit in the Passing lane and/or the carpool lane. And while im at it Fcuk the Taliban, Osama and Hussein. k im done.

Same here. I just hate driving through Jew town(La Cienega or Robertson) to get to work. Weaving through traffic is an everyday thang here in LA. I have had a few closes calls. This lady the other day just slammed on her brakes who panic from opposing traffic just moving in the center lane. That would really suck if I did get hurt and still have to go to work. That would be a very awkward feeling, being treated by people you actually know. And knowing that the nurse that is taking care of you is the worst/terrible nurse in the whole ER. Take me to Kaiser . Forgot they're not a trauma center.

yeah but I don't think this is exclusively a BMW driver's problem. Let us see if your driving changes when you get your STi. My wife weaves in and out of traffic, her mom does the same too and they don't need a BMW to do it.

i dunno maybe i am really stupid or something but maybe just maybe he didnt want to throw his car into a guardrail and was getting angry that you were on his tail, whenever someone gets on my tail in my car on the highway yea ill keep going but through curvy streets i just pull over and flip them off as they go by. maybe you were being the inconsiderate one in this situation...

He passed me at 95 on the open road, and I stayed about an 1/8 of a mile behind him until he had to start randomly slamming on the breaks. Then I couldn't help catching up to him. Hell, Granny would have been honking at his ass to get a move on. And as for guardrails, there were none. And, honestly, with the way he was white-knuckling it, he probably never knew that I had caught back up to him.

Its only reoccuring because you have the tendency to pay attention to BMW drivers. Old drivers are inconsiderate too. So are asian, black, white, poor people, rich people, mexicans, etc...the list goes on.
I no longer drive a bmw, and even when i did, i wasn't the type of driver you described. My wife may fit that description better, but she doesn't drive a bmw.
I've noticed minivan drivers drive faster than the average driver...does that mean all minivan drivers are speed demons? No, if you put that minivan driver in a station wagon or even a nissan sentra, they'll still wanna drive fast.

Yuuuuuuuuuuuup. Another car thats seems to be drivin hard by their occupants is the Toyota Trecel. Check that sh1t out, i think they know they have the cheapest car ever made, and they abuse there poor lil trecels.

I highly doubt that because I value my property, the property of others, my life, and the lives of others. If I want push my car, I'd do it on the track. Did I mention how inconsiderate Porsche drivers are? Especially those with the base Boxters and the Carerras.

It's interesting how defensive BMW owners can be when this topic is brought up. I drive a slightly modified Honda and I don't get insulted or feel the need to get defensive when others generalize that most modified Hondas are rice and driven by punks because that's the truth. I think everyone can agree that not ALL BMW drivers are a-holes. From my personal view point, MOST are. Are there other inconsiderate drivers with other types of cars? Of course! I don't think anyone of us here are currently running for office, so I think we can spare the a lot of the p.c. It's like saying that illegal aliens aren't the exclusive cause of many of the economic problems with our public schools and hospitals, but they cause a large chunk of the problem. A lot of BMW drivers are jerks when it's the truth. I don't hate on a BMW driver just because they drive a BMW. I'll hate on them once they cut me off without signaling or tail gate me when I'm already doing 80 because they suck and MOST of the drivers that do this are the ones with BMWs, namely 3 series and X5s. For some reason, those with Ms, 7 series, and most of the 5 series I see are more considerate.

I think you're missing my point. Don't tell me that when a car passes you at 95mph he's not racing. Racing in traffic is rude and inconsiderate because it can create dangerous situations for other drivers.
As far as being arrogant, you don't know that because you don't know the guy/girl driving the car. Just because the person drives a BMW, doesn't mean they are arrogant. That statement just makes you sound bitter. Which is why i brought it up earlier.
I believe that those who trail others just for their own amusement are rude and incosiderate. (recognize this statement: "LOL, no. The last time a Beemer passed me, I just sped up, trailed him, and laughed every time he had to slam the brakes going around a corner.")
Also, let us assume that I were a "rude", "arrogant", "inconsiderate" BMW driver...Now, what if i sold my BMW and bought an Audi (which i did), are you going to take me off your list because I'm not a BMW driver anymore? Think about it.
