Now now, Leon... you KNOW you're next in line for one of these

I actually got a ride on that very bike pictured there. Night and day difference between that and my 2000 YZF600R. And the power... wow... for a 600cc... wow. Shifts like buttah too.

PS. What kind of camera is that?

thats cause the YZF600R is a turd...

try putting ht 600rr up against an R6 (YZFR6) - not much difference, especially if you compare same year models.

personally i dont like the 600RR - just a personal preference - i'm sure its an awesome bike.

Congrats on your friends purchase.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a leather jacket, gloves, and HELMET. Those three have saved me soooo many times.

If he's a novice rider - no wheelies for the first year if he wants to keep it lookin good.

Haha, yes, the YZF600R is a bit of turd... well, in comparison at least. It amazes me how advanced motorcycles can get. It is one of the few things in the world that are "as advertised", what you see in the competition is pretty close to what you buy.

As for Leon's friend, he is a pretty experienced guy and a semi-pro class racer. He actually got me into motorcycles in college (seems to have that effect on people, eh Leon?) Interestingly, he races an R6 at Willow Springs. It would be cool to know what he thinks of the two (if he ever tracks the 600RR).

Might pick up either a 03 R6 or a 03 R1. The camera I used was a Canon EOS 10D with a 100mm/f2.0 USM Macro lens.
