Cop Did Not Show!!!!
WOOHOO!!!
 it was a 5 point speeding ticket that I was all ready to fight and claim innocence... but didn't have to cop didn't show!!! =) WOOHOO!!!! PRAISE DA LORD!

cops dont suck. I've got a bunch of cop friends that are really cool, and always treat people respectfully.
on teh other hand, rude / ******* cops do suck. but, just because you got a ticket for breakin teh law doesnt mean cops suck - maybe teh law sucks, or it sucks that you got caught. |

I've never gotten a speeding ticket but I'm going to guess 5 points is a lot. Doesn't that suspend your license or something? How fast were u going to get 5 points?

in md 8or9 points is suspension.
the cop said i was going 75 on a 45... I was really going 70 on a 50....or I believe I was doing something like that... so, I was gonna claim innocence and say the cop was trying to beat me down or something.... maybe not beat me down, but....u know.... just was trying to make it 5 points to really get me...and ask for leniency. |

you know wut else rocks too. when the cop doesnt have all his notes. i got caught speeding one day and decided to fight it. when i got to court no one was winning anything until i got up there. he just said "i forgot my papers but i remember him". the judge said well since theres no evidence against him, hes innocent. sweet victory
btw some cops are cool as hell. others are drunk with power. \ on a side note i have 2 pending court dates for speeding. wish me luck..or give me some tips |

so... why didnt this happen to me?? i got my 3rd speeding ticket which was 12 months after my 2nd one. i was thinking i wasnt going to be able to take traffic school since there's the 18-month-rule...
i show up to court, step up to the stand, and the judge just asks me "would you like second chance traffic school?"... i'm like "ok". she then sends me to a different room to set that up... why wasn't i let go free since the cop wasn't there? or was it because it was the 2nd ticket within 18 months?

You answered the question wrong. When he asked if you wanted to go to traffic school and you said you, you basically accepted guilt. You needed to say, I wasn't speeding. Since the cop isn't there to contest your statement, the court has to take your side of it.

One of our salesmen got a speeding ticket, he was going to dispute it in court. A few days before the court date, the cop suddenly dies from an aneurysm or something like that. So the salesman got out of the ticket, but certainly no one can be happy that a guy died.
