It's generally a pretty easy job. You will definitely have to remove the calipers. Some calipers require the use of a special but cheap socket for removal of the retaining bolt(s). Plus you will have to spread the pads apart slightly to get the caliper off.
Most rotors will come right off. Some require taking the front wheel bearing out too to remove the hub assembly.

Year, make, model, engine size?

Some are easy, some are not so easy (short answer)...

Lemme know what you are driving and I'll get you vehicle-specific information.

If it has a "hat" style rotor that just slides off the hub and wheel studs it should be real easy. You need to make sure the face of the hub where the rotor contacts it is really clean and free of dirt, rust flakes and the like. Failure to do this can cause brake pulsation.

Of course you'll have to touch the calipers. The caliper sandwiches the rotor. If you don't have a manual or have never changed rotors before, it's best left to a mechanic. You don't want to go into to it blindly and risk screwing up something like the brakes.
