Car and Driver test...

Can you imagine what that will cost to fix? And then, all you'll get is a rebuilt or salvage title...

If you think auto parts and service in general are expensive, Ferrari parts and service are heart-stopping! The factory-recommended engine oil is $75/quart.

From the article above:

(The owners) actually drive the car. Hard. Within a month of delivery Rapp’s Enzo showed 1200 miles on the odo, about half of which were accumulated on tracks. Rapp likes to believe his is the first customer-delivered Enzo in the world to burn through a set of $6000 carbon-ceramic brake pads and a $24,000 set of similarly constructed brake rotors.

but if it goes for 300k, and let's say it costs the same to fix it 300k (this is just body work, engine is in the back)...

Even if it costs you 600k total... you could still probably sell it for over 1 mil. new they go 2+mil (way way above sticker price).

here we go
from the article:
If a $732 oil change sounds criminal, consider that the factory won’t warrant the engine if you don’t use the oil and estimates the replacement bill at $200,000.

also saw on rides people trying to replace the rims on that car. the thing is, it takes ONE center bolt -not the 4-5 that are usually found. they had to custom make the wheel.

funny thing about this car - its actually for sale on the co-part auto salvage auction. My buddy has a backer and he is planning on trying to get teh high bid and rebuild the car - supposedly he's looked into it, and thinks he can rebuild for about $150k. The ebay auction is only for the right for some guy to bid on it for you on Co-Part.

If my buddy does get it and rebuild it, theres a chance i'll get to drive it at the local autocross event(s) Muhahahahahaha

I'm not sure if this is a California law or federal, but if a car manufacturer REQUIRES you to use special oil (M3, Enzo, etc..)to maintain your warranty, they by law must provide it to you free of charge. It's basically to prevent manufactures from gouging you for their "special formulation blends". That's not to say they couldn't give you the oil, then charge you $700 labor.

damn - it goto pulled off Co-Part too. VERY WEIRD...

We're thinking Ferrari contacted the Ins company and arranged to buy it from them... I'm guessing they dont want just anyone having that car. My understanding is that they wont sell a car like an Enzo, F40 / F50 etc to just anyone. They probably dont want the competition to have it
