I'm not sure what you are talkinga bout, but a ninja is a good choice. they are silent and deadly killing machines. there is a website dedicated to them somewhere around here.

Seems pretty high to me...

NADA lists value at $1200 to $1600

Kelley Blue Book lists retail value at $2400 and trade-in at $1600

IMO, both NADA and KBB tend to significantly overvalue vehicles, so I tend to look at about 80% as a more realistic number. Keep in mind that the EX500 is a budget "sportbike" and you could probably walk out the door with one from a dealership for a little over $4000...this one is 10 years old.

My first bike was an EX500--I outgrew it REALLY quickly, and wished I had gotten something bigger, like a 600 or 750 class bike. I paid about $2700 new, and sold it in pristine condition about 3 years later for about $1500. No way I would pay $2000 for a 10 year old EX.

My $.02

My first bike was an EX500 as well. I sold it three years ago for $1100, two grand seems a little high, but who am I to say. Mine was an '89.

i'de drop no more than $1500, ok maybe $1600 on a GOOD condition, GOOD RUNNING, well kept '94 EX500.... and it better have good tread on the tires, and not be dry-rotted, and the chain should not have any tight spots in it.

anything less quality than that, and the prices goes down fast.

I may be in the market this summer. Either buy a used cbr 6 or that yamaha 6 that all the kids seem to love so much.
