Why? The I-5 is a much wider highway for the majority of the stretch. Although people do drive fast (who doesn't drive fast in California?), there are less major interchanges and LESS MACK TRUCKS! It's not so much the merging of lanes that bogs you down on the NJ Turnpike, it's the motherf'ing trucks that dominate the road and don't yield to anybody except other trucks. When you've got a Mack truck hauling a trailer or two and they're driving 75mph, it's scary. At least on the I-5 there are more lanes for the trucks and less major highway interchanges to worry about. So, my ranking would place the NJ Turnpike worse than the I-5 here in California. |

lets all have a moment of silence. man if you guys have more pot holes and idiot drivers than jersey i feel for you. we also have the highest insurance rates in the country. im glad i am not in boston
