Question Pomona Porsche/Corvettes Swap Meet

Hey All,
I was writing to see if any one has been to the pomona porsche corvette swap meet. Apparently i "need" to sell my GTO cause it is taking up space with my parents and i dont have a place to keep it at my new apertment.
Anyways i was wondering if anyone has been and how easy it is to sell cars and such. I think i read you have to be in line at 4 am to get a space. So up early to get in line to sell my 1967 GTo . Definitely not my brightest day.
But yes, anyone who has been and could just tell me their impression of the people and if they are into buying or just staring would be great.

TIA

Mark

I went to the annual auction in Atlantic City last week. For some reason, cars are bringing big bucks this year. So you should get a decent price.

Is it original?

Yeah its all original. 1967. Its been garaged and decently taken care of. But its got about 134K miles cause it was driven by my grandfather since he got it in oct of 66. I been polishing it up and trying to make it shine and such, but no engine replacement or anything. My guess is it will go for between 8-10k. But i am trying to get an idea.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Yeah i got a few for around 10K. But then a few other people who had GTO's there, were like, do you have papers, and i had some but not all of them on me. I was a little groggy at 430am when we left. And they said, if you bring back full documentaion (cause my grandfather was the original owner) i could probably get a few more K cause we could show that all the parts were original.

So we didnt sell but i have a feeling its gonna be soon unless i can move to an apartment where i can safely store 2 cars.

Doesn't the serial number of the car identify everything that is required for documentation? And the same thing should apply to the serial number on the engine block.

What's so important that your parents need to bump out an original 1967 GTO to make room for in their garage? Your folks should develop a better appreciation for cars. Have you looked into renting a Public Storage garage?

Last time I checked, they were going for $125-$150 per month for a garage that would fit a car.
That's approx. $1500-$1800 per year.

I doubt that his GTO will appreciate that much per year.

How can you put a price on sentimental value? But $1800 a year is a lot to spend on a sheet of concrete and four walls.

California Car Cover Company has a lot of interesting auto storage ideas such as bubble bags, covers, canopies, etc...
