holy crap...150 dB at 150 Hz!?

i think just the aural FORCE coming from the horn will move ppl rather than them having to move themselves.

Sweet. I want a pair for my truck. Onboard air would be cool anyway. You might want to think about putting a tap and a quick disconnect in the air line so that you can fill tires, etc.

It already has that... with the included 20ft of coiled air tubing that connects directly to the air tank and can be used for filling tires that are low and other "inflatables".

The Model 810 and the Model 815 offer the same powerful roof mount horn. These models only differ in the way they are activated: Model 810 electric solenoid and Model 815 lanyard. Both models of Challenger come complete with a maintenance free on board air system. Each of the kits include everything that is needed to install on any 12 volt vehicle: a deluxe roof mounted horn that is all metal with triple chrome plated trumpets, heavy duty compressor, tank, hoses, mounting hardware, and instructions. All moving parts of the air compressor are manufactured to precision tolerances. The compressor's motor computer balanced, reducing noise and vibration. The kit also includes 20 feet of plastic hose with air fittings to inflate tires, shocks, rafts or any application requiring air.

Hee hee... however I think you are lookin' at the wrong horns. The "Cannonball Express" horns do 152 db at 150 Hz...

Mine are the Challenger EV 810s... which do 120 db at 235 Hz.

hahaha...scared me, fury.

still...120 dB is plenty loud enough. so long as it can set off parked car alarms within a couple yards, that's grood. :-)

Honestly, I do think you could hear it from about a mile away.

I laugh everytime I honk now... I swear it's funny as hell.

Sleepin' under the light... <HONK.. HOOOOONK!!!>

Cut me off in traffic... <HOOOOOOOOOOOOOK!!! HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!>

Cute girl walkin' down the street... <Honk> <Honk> (2 short bursts...)

Kid gives me the "hammer sign: (like we used to do to truckers...) <HOOONK> <HOOONK>!!!

Wow DF, nice article. I want some horns for my truck, but don't have quite as much bite as your truck does to mach teh bark. I definatly know what ou mean as far as people pulling out infron of you. Today some b%#^h in a malibu thought it would be a great idea to cross over 2 lanes right in front of me going 10 mph slower than me (I was not speeding either). Needless to say it was wet and I swerved and got a little loose, when I passed her she gave me the mean look.

My friend took his truck to Costco to get some new tires put on. He has a really loud airhorn from a firetruck (his dad was a firefighter). Before they move the cars in and out of the bays, they usually give the horn a little honk. Well, with his truck pointed striaght into the bay, they laid on the horn expecting a little beep. Every mechanic in the shop almost had a heart attack. It was one of the funniest things I have seen (since nobody got hurt). Nobody was expecting it. Not even us. We forgot that they honked before entering.

So DF, next time you take your truck in for any type of service, either warn them or stand back and watch the fun

Nope... that will NEVER happen.

Although I do have a "surpise addition" that will be installed on Monday.

But I won't spoil the surprise right now...

Muahhahahahhaa. As much as I've been using my horn lately, I might have to get one.

This is really funny to me. Today some neck in a *ahem*HEMI decides to tailgate me in my little Expedition. I looked in rearview and he had this look on his face like I got me a hemi and I'm gonna tailgate ya even though there's no place to go. So I drop the window, do the F you biatch look in the side mirror, slow down and turn up a little of that "damn rap music." Basically I get a little ghetto on his ass cuz I don't care what kind of truck he's driving it's not a good idea to tail me. He backs off and I speed up on to the freeway.

I dont use the horn. I mostly use the throttle to let people know Im coming or my displeasure over their going slow in the fast lane. But if I lived in the midwest.....

Get the big crazy exhaust next DF. A little more HP can't hurt and you won't need that horn anymore.

I already have an exhaust... I put an AeroTurbine muffler on my HEMI last month: http://chimptopia.twonsoft.com/pimptopia/052204.shtml

I'm NOT gonna put a "coffee can" tip on it though.

Trust me... it sounds REALLY nasty.
