www.warrantydirect.com?
Anyone used them for extended warranties?
I sold my Nissan warranty back ($1300) because online sites (this one is highly rated) had the same warranty for only $600.

I don't have experience with them, but I thought I'd share mine with www.warrantygold.com Well, actually, just look at the website. They went bankrupt. I'm now a creditor in bankrupcy court.
Looks like the bbb reports for warrantdirect are ok: http://www.bbbnewyork.org/businessre....aspx?id=47633 http://www.bbbnewyork.org/businessre....aspx?id=53450 But then again, so were they from warrantygold. Personally, I'd stick to manufacturers warranties, but they are a lot more expensive. |

aftermarket warranties are ok... if they are your last/only option.
However after dealing with a bunch of dealership repair shops that give you the "run-a-round" whenever you flash your aftermarket warranty in their face... and then make you do the "paperwork shuffle", I'd just as soon buy the "factory extended warranty" and be done with it. I've had 2 aftermarket warranties in my past 17 years of driving, and both of them honestly SUCKED!!!!

I was cut a good deal with my extened factory warrenty when I bought it at the time or purchase. I know when you try and go back later they get you for full retail.

No it's exactly the same. If you buy a year late then there's a fee (apx $100) but otherwise these things are statistically calculated to be in the dealers favor. There's a set number and they won't cut deals because that would lose them money.

They're really hating me--the $800 extended warranty they sold me when we bought our 1998 Montana new has paid, to date, a little over $5000 in repair fees. I'm not normally a big fan of extended warranty but in this case it paid off.
