Car chase through the streets of LA...

Anyone see that car chase being televised on Fox news?

It appears that some bank robbers were leading a high speed chase down the interstate and through some neighborhoods (near Compton)...

I couldn't tell if the car was a BMW station wagon or what... but they were really movin'... pretty much it ended when they went up in "da hood", dropped the car right in front of "Big Momma's" house and the driver ran into the house with his 2 accomplices being captured outside the house.

The driver eventually gave himself up... with 12+ police/sherriff units surrounding the place.

Talk about "lunchtime entertaiment" on FOX... C.O.P.S. live... news at 11.

What's new? LA has lots of "smart" criminals!

Somehow they think they could outrun the cops and their helicopters.

Heh... I guess Apex or GAM decided that this was also an "automotive" topic since it did involve a car.

Sorry bout that guys....

If you have seen this already, it is probably worth seeing again and laughing hysterically:

oooo

I watched that one, yesterday morning. I liked how everyone kept saying on the news afterwards that he was probably slightly injured. . . as opposed to say, beaten the **** up by 6 cops, while handcuffed on the ground, not moving

I guess I see things differently

i dont know all the circumstances but being a cop is certainly a harder job than most of us think. To deal with the attitudes and aggressions of people all day everyday must be hell.

well originally i was defending the officer in question but after just seeing the "beating" on the news, i see that it was probably excessive force, but there could always be some circumstance (like the man bit one of the officers or something) that might have made that one officer react like that.

I would have thought that they had learned by now not to do stuff like that in front of cameras...

I thought they were going to stop airing police chases since people were starting to use them as ways to get attention and then commit suicide. what happened to that idea/rule?

And ruin the fun?

I love car chases. The day I graduated from Basic Training, a number of years ago, I wanted to go home. I turned on FoxNews from Kentucky and there I saw a car chase from LA. Wow, I felt like I was back home.
