Dodge Magnum Police Car. Why yes, in fact it does have a Hemi.

Looks like they're upgrading to some faster vehicles.

Well, if I'm gonna get caught speeding in my 1966 Dodge Charger, I guess it would at least be nice to be pulled over by a fellow mopar! It is far too insulting to get pulled over by a crown vic...

It's not coming to California yet. Like I'm going to run from cops anyway.

actually, most cities dont have helos fast enough to keep up with the bikes... i believe OKC recently aquired two helos that can do about 150mph... but they cant turn around at that speed nearly as fast... get them hauling ass chasing you down a highway, shot it down hard, pull a Uey in teh median and take off the other direction, and you'll be miles away before they can flip around on you.

Can you outrun the CB band radio too?

well, i've personally never run, and dont think i ever woudl "technically" run...

If i pass a hypo sitting on the side of the road at a buck-fiddy, i'm gonna keep truckin' at a buck-fiddy for a little while, and then change course radically. Chances are, by the time he realizes what just happened, you'll be about a half mile away... by the time he hits 65mph, you'll be closer to 2 miles away... his only option is to radio ahead, but since he doesnt have your tag, and can only identify you from the 1/2 second he saw you, chances are, if you're 5mi away and on a completely different trajectory doign the speed limit, then you can deny everything and get away with it even if another officer hears the call and pulls you over.

Its all about choosing your battles.... i'm all about taking my licks and using my head when it comes to getting pulled over... but i'm not gonna pass a cop at 150 and pull over and sit there for 5min waiting for him to catch up to me and write me a ticket.

Heh... yeah, they'd put you UNDER the jail.

Pretty much at that point, you'd probaby better "hide" and lay low somewhere in the bushes (if you can get there without him seeing where you went)

Sounds like somebody needs to watch Chris Rock's "How not to get your a$$ beat by the cops" instructional video.

1. Helicopters cannot follow into airport restricted space unless they phone way ahead due to take offs and landings.
2. You have about 7 minutes from initial contact to backup, and then 10 more to get the bird in the sky unless he's already up there.
3. Mall parking lots with multiple floors. Pull in, take off your plates and put on dealer cardboard making it look like it was just bought. And then walk through the mall and get a ride home. They may not be able to pick up your plate number, but they will remember it was a plate so when they see the new cardboard of a dealer, they will pass it up unless you leave some big sign saying, "Please wait for moron to return and beat me over the head. Thank you and have a nice day."

theres lots of little tricks like those above... the key to making good is to NEVER drive or ride faster than you normally would attempt to.... i'e - never try to take a corner at a higher speed just because you're in a "really big hurry"... chances are you'll end up crashing.... pace yourself, just like a race on a track, and make smooth precise judgements, and dont push your limits beyond what you're capable of...

oh, heres another - most of the DARE cars or Camaro's etc wont pull into a grassy wet median - they'll get stuck... some of them wont even turn aroudn if thers large potholes in the median.
