Upcoming Honda Accord Hybrid, more power and performance than current 240hp

Utilizing a next-generation hybrid powertrain, the Accord V6 Hybrid will deliver power and performance above the current 240-horsepower Accord V6 with the fuel economy of a compact-class, four-cylinder Civic sedan.

One word: Awesome. I've still got a good 2-3 years to go with this car, so by the time I'm in the market, the hybrid cars should be up to speed.

That's actually not an awful idea. Or if you have a friend or relative who can lend you a car for a few months...

I'm actually considering getting a gas-guzzling mammoth-sized 1968 Plymouth Fury for the time being.

The Accord Hybrid's exterior has a number of exclusive features including a unique(????) front grille design, new(???) taillight appearance and special hybrid badging, along with a rear trunk lid spoiler and exclusive(bland) alloy wheel design.

As usual, the Accord makes no unusual statement, but it is a very dependable car.

That sounds really sweet. I've been looking in to getting a new accord. Maybe i'll wait. Anyone know what the price might be? Pardon my lack of knowledge but how does the electric work? Do I have to plug it in? I live in an apartment and theres no where for me to plug anything, thats my biggest concern.

Why don't the just slap on a sticker on the car that says Look at me. My car charges its battey with it's gas engine! how much more lame can Honda be? How much more attention hungry can the drivers be?
*Disclaimer, I do think the hybrid sedans are kinda cool but the little masterbatory plusses they offer the hybrids are stupid

Okay fanboi. Add a hybrid sticker to your car and add 20HP. I'm glad you like your car but it's good to keep a reality check: the vast majority of drivers out there think your mods are stupid. If you can live with that (and you should) rice on

So much negative from IN.

Every other hybrid vehicle has a "hybrid" badge so what is the big deal? It's just like Dodge with "HEMI".

The price should be $2K more than the Accord V6.

I was hoping Honda would ditch the leather and add HID.

1/2 Joking.

Bach, it's about bragging about the badges. Who TF cares if it has a badge. I mean, there's nothing wrong with a badge but it's listed as a feature. I almost put that on the same level as civics with acura badges. And it would be fine if it just had a spoiler but it has to have a "unique" spoiler. ETC.

I'm normally not a mean person but this is straight out attention hungry just like every other ricer who has a loud ass exaust and an underbody glow kit.

The price will probably be ~$2k more than the V6 accord is now. You do not need to plug the car in. For the most part it is just like a regular car. The gas engine charges the battery. Hope this helps.

Hactually... the honda hybrids are only series hybrids, they only charge thru breaking, unless they've gotten some patent licences from toyota like ford did... (toyota holds most of the patents on synergistic hybrids [parallel and series])

What's the projected miles per gallon and how will the engine/motor hold up?
