It's the air suspension. It can go from a pretty low loading mode, to sports mode, to comfort mode, to offroad, to full high, which gives you the ability to cross 22" of standing water (more than an H2 or Land Rover).

That's without. The H1, non-civilian model, with snorkle can do up to the bottom of the windshield.
