There is a product called Goo-Gone that's sold in large stores like KMart and probably in auto parts store as well. It will make the goo rub off, but I don't know if it is designed for cars. If that doesn't work, a can of bumper sticker remover and some Windex should do it fine.

Funny you should mention that. I just used goo gone on my car today to get off some extra paint. Here's how you can tell if it's going to jack up your paint (you WILL lose all your coats of wax) put a little goo gone in an incospicuous area, wipe it off and see if any of your paint transfers to the rag. I had absolutely no problem with the stuff.

Tip: when you're cleaning try and spread out the mess as far as possible, it's counter intuitve but it'll make the job go faster.

Personally I use "Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover".... works great on tree sap as well and is "safe for all clear coat applications".

Personally, I wouldn't use "goof off" on my paint job... No siree bob..

Trust me... go get the Turtle Wax I mentioned above. It does the job and you don't have to worry about it.
