Cupholders

Hmm...I don't like the standard two slot cupholder that comes in my honda civic. I remember when I was younger my dad used to have these plastic cupholders you would attatch to the door like in the olden days with the trays. I've googled cupholders and all I get it how to get a cupholder from your computer...Har D har har.

I've looked at Autozone and they don't have it. Are these plastic cupholders pretty much extinct? Anyone else know what I'm talking about? This could go in the Need Deals section but it's auto related and maybe I can stir up some nostalgia for the rest of ya.

Not sure which civic you're talking about - I have a 98 and the cupholders are terrible. I don't even use them. I've gotten pretty good at shifting/steering with one hand, but more often I just make my passengers hold the drinks

I never put that crap in my car even when my old car (88 Honda Accord) doesn't come with any cup holder.

Yeah that's the modern version of what I'm talking about. But the idea is the same and what I had when I was a kid was very simple and probably very flimsy compared to that.

They sell those type at walmart, they are probably not on their online site, I have seen them within the last six months at their B&M store.

Good for you. I only wish certain people would restrain from eating in my car. When I get "The Car" nobody is going to be able to eat or smoke in it. Prospects are looking thin right now, sucks living in chicago. The last car I found that I could afford was a 93 M5 which I got outbid on and that was over a month ago

Actually, I would allow sealable water bottles in my car because water is reletively harmless and easily cleaned up if there is a spill and chances are that living in the chi, some water will eventually get in there.

Does getting a bj count under this clause?

Nope. I either wait until I get home or get out. I drive a stick shift so trying to have a drink or do anything else while driving can be a pain in the butt. Moreover, my car is my baby. I'd cry if I spilled something in her. And yes, I do get really upset when other people are in my car and they want to crack open a Coke. I tell them "no" and they look at me with this "you can't be serious" look. Weel I am serious. You can either get out and eat/drink or you can wait unitl we get where ever.

You probably have your forum settings configured so that it only shows a persons sig on the first post in that thread. You can change that setting in the user cp

Interesting... someone "Corporately" must have changed that for us... cause I've NEVER messed with that setting and I used to see sigs just fine before.

Pull over and have your drink, stretch your legs, use the bathroom etc. Do it all during a pit stop.

I got your Civic beat - I have a Ford 15 passenger van with exactly TWO cupholders! One for the driver, and one for the passenger who sits *behind* the driver. What a stupid design.

Hey Merlin, would you let someone take off their shoes and put their bare feet up on your dash?
