Don't I wish. I need to save up for a 400-600 person wedding. You know how much that runs? Yep, it's either a wedding or a 2001 350hp M3. *sigh*

Hey, if you start working out of your house with the web site, then incorporate, and lease the M3.

Hell, work out of the M3 in the garage and you can double deduct it - once as a co. car and then as one of the work "rooms" in the house!

Perhaps, but I'll be damned if I spend CLK55 type money and not get a 6 speed manual. Sorry, but I'm a "row your own" kind of guy. I'd have to do an M5 or something then. However, I'm more of a pure sportscar kind of guy. Unfortunately, there's nothing in my price range. I'm hurtin'.

Keep your fingers crossed, hoping the next gen Lotus Elise comes over, or something based on that platform. *drool* Just saw one in torrance not too long ago. Man, that's a sweet car.

Personally, even the M3 is out of my range, so I'm looking at or for a 98 M3 or similarly-used Audi A4 Quattro with a stick shift.

As much as I loved my SVX, there wasn't the right seat setup for the kicker box in the trunk. While the dual 10's @ 160W in my 94 Altima is nice, I'm hoping to get dual 12's @ 4-500W in the next vehicle.

Of course, getting a new job that pays better than the pittance my W-2 says I was worth last year is of key consideration. As is that dual 500E setup I've been considering. And some new boots. A girlfriend. Maybe a cat.

And I suppose I should save some money to eat and pay rent. *sigh*

Cool

Well, i need something to keep all the insects in my apartment on their toes when I'm not around. *g*

Not that it matters, I'm not technically supposed to have pets in my current apartment anyways. I'd forget to feed the damn thing, probably.

And as for a 'real' pet, I'll take Yvette from Clue. ;-)

Get a puppy, good for getting chicks. Then again, doesn't sound like you need it from your y2k celebration story.

This may seem like a sleeper to some, but the 93-97 Supra Turbo kicks ass. The car is way overengineered and is capable of 650rwhp on stock internals. And mod's can be done very cheap. The car is basically unchanged since 93 and can be bought for around $18k used. Pull a couple hoses and install a T-fitting in one of the turbo hoses and you go from 320hp to about 360.

I've two friends at work who've done this and one of them has his car laying down 406 at the wheels with about $1500 in basic mods.

Yep, the JZ is one kickin vehicle. I got to drive a pretty hopped up one before (intake, full exhaust, boost controller, upgraded intercooler, suspension, wheels) and it flies.

Wow, this is one old thread! It looks like Apex really had not much on his hands at the time: replying every ten seconds!
I especially like the tax wizard who suggested calling the thing a company car AND a room in the home office!!
