Do You Think Kids Who Drive PowerWheels Will Grow Up To Be Better Drivers?
I've been watching these kids drive back and forth in front of my house for an hour now and I got to thinking....
Do you think that they'll be better at driving when they get to be old enough? I would tend to think yes - because they're going to have experience already and it will be from an early age, which may even be a bigger advantage. Anyways, any thoughts on this?

Umm what? Hehe i would honestly say thats not very related. It may help with your hand-eye coordination but thats about it. not much of the world is moving around them, and most people are getting out of their way so i would say its not that helpful. However if they were to bicycle or be driving at like age 10 then they would have more experience and maybe be better drivers... I think its a combination of skills and gifts, and some of it is you just can't teach no matter how young you start.

I don't think they will be better drivers than other kids.

I think the biggest factor is how much attention the driver is paying to DRIVING, not talking on the phone, or putting on makeup, or eating, or changing channels on the radio, etc
So... do the kids look focused on driving, or do they look like Californians?

I say yes, because kids interesed in vehicles at a young age will be those more interested in paying attention when they become of age to really drive.

I agree with Bires, I also think it depends on how well they pay attention to driving before they start driving. I know when I was 12-15 I was always watching and paying attention, just alert in the passenger seat. Not sure if that was because I thought my mom might get me killed in an accident or I thought my dad was driving too freaking slow.
I just think that if the driver paid attention to how driving is and what it is like before they start, and they pay attention, they probably are a better driver. |

Nah seeing as how most kids use their powerwheels to try and crash into stuff like their little brother...
