Awesome Garage

Man, this is nuts.

Serious, serious garage

That's bigger AND cleaner than my house.

All he needs is an AWD dyno, and he's set.

Ahh, western Albemarle County, VA...

Don't know the guy, but know the area well.

He's a trusting soul - His name, tag numbers, pics of his cars (Porsches, A Ferrari 456GT, a Benz ragtop, etc.) are all over the 'net. Kinda high-profile...

The eight acres is house is on was about a half-million. Don't know what the house cost. He's in an area of VA where the cost-of-living is pretty high - the upscale areas of northern VA (outside DC) are the only places more expensive overall.

I know, a drop in the bucket to you Cali and New England folks...

8 Acres for half a million? Sheesh, that's awesome. Half a million isn't even a studio condo in norcal.

BTW, more picts of that guy's garage on the 3rd page of that thread.

ok, what's the point of having so much in your garage? to take pictures and brag on the internet? i guess that part of the world must be really boring. i'd rather use the money to go travel. unless he's done that already too. hehehe

I wasn't able to see the pics (they're all red x's now), but my Dad's garage is somewhat similiar. It is about 4000 square feet with its own lift, distributed air compressor system, engine puller, machining tools, etc. He loves building Hot Rods and his latest beauty, a '49 olds convertible, has been winning a lot of awards. I have a lot of pics of it, maybe I'll post some of them if I get a chance. He also has a '32 Ford 5-window coupe, '40 Ford Deluxe sedan and a '57 Olds Model 88 coupe.

Homeboy, fellow Ferrari owner, or homeboy, Birmingham resident?

Neither - I was born and raised in Charlottesville (Albemarle County), VA. Been down in the 'Ham four years.

Bet I am the only member here who can say that Dave Matthews has served me whiskey. He used to bartend at a place I frequented. I worked as a doorman and bouncer at the club (Trax, now defunct...) where the DMB got their start and first built their following.

I went to high school with Carter Beauford.

OK man, this guy beats it.

This is a garage down in Florida:

Here's the full sized pict:

http://img60.exs.cx/img60/6576/SF.jpg

You can barely tell it's a garage, until you see the garage doors on the right side.

maybe the person invested EVERYTHING they had in the garage. so that they're living in a trailer, but with a nice garage

As the Big Tymers would say, "Hood Rich".

Welcome to South Florida. Our neighbor had a new Ferrari/Lambo every few months and normally had a few in the garage. Not to mention all of his other cars that adorned his driveway.
