S: Vandals - Air Bags

Watching over a friends car while she goes on a trip for a month. Less that 24 hours later her car has a broken window and the airs bags are gone. Sigh.

So the cops have been called and she has called her insurance co I think. The battery is unhooked. It's prob not a good idea to hook it up and drive it to my local collision center.

As a results of this and my slashed tire from November I'm prob moving in a few months. Sigh...not even a new home owner for a year and I'm on the move. Blah.

at least she is still here - my bestfriend knows its not my fault - but the down side is she is leaving on Thursday to Hawaii for a month then Vegas for another month so I was suppose to watch it and use it on occasion for the next two months now I am not because of this - I now loathe my neighborhood and hope that things don't get to her mom about this since she is the primary owner of this car. *sigh* what a !@#&!@#&!@*@*!*@#&!&# night.

The airbags are gone? WTF? Am I missing something? Are those things worth money or something?

A lot of insurance claims are "Totalled" due to the price of the replacement airbags vs the price of the car.

I think maybe the club could be a deterrent since it goes over the steering wheel. What's there to stop them from repeating if you get it fixed?

Unfortunately, they just take bolt cutters to the steering wheel.

Yes I've heard of sawing through the steering wheel too. Better than nothing.
The auto taser is interesting idea...reminds me of the opening scene in I think Robocop 2. Except that guy was killed and the salesguy just pushed him out of the seat and left his body there.
