I just saw the red one on freeway the other day. The old dude was driving and there was one hot blonde chick sitting next to him. DAMN!

Yellow or silver for me. . .hell any color would be nice. But for some reason I like the 355 F1's better than these new Modenas. . . although they are sweet as hell.

One of friends happens to own a Ferrari 360 Modena (Non-Spyder) And the pictures do not do justice to the car. We took it for a spin... and let me tell you.... I did not want to get out of the car. Wheeeeee....!

Plan on moving to Europe and looking for a used McLaren Hapoo. The U.S. Version only has one seat. Some safety issues I guess.

Yeah actually, the F355 F1 was my favorite for a long long time. I personally like it more than I like the F360 Modena. However, for some STRANGE reason (really strange, since I usually don't like ragtops) the F360 Modena Spyder looks so well proportioned, much better than the solid top I think. Hard to argue with the weight loss, extra power, stiffer chassis, improved F1 tranny, and better handling though. The F355 is simply a beautiful car in any event.

I do like the McLaren a LOT. Unfortunately, the new headlights, removal of two rear seats and other american mods really take the car down a notch. Plus, you can get like 6 Modenas for one McLaren. BTW, NO KIDS FOR ME FOR A LONG LONG TIME. Knock on wood.

Hehe, true be that. But as beautifully crafted the McLaren is. . . I have this strange part of me craving that Mercedes CLK-GTR. . . it too is a pricey 1 million dollars. Some day. . . some day. Maybe the Sultan of Brunei can adopt me .

Call me absolutely crazy, but I've haven't liked Ferrari lines since the old Mondial, which was a very classy car. These ones, they just look...lumpy? Bad word, but certainly not sexy or beautiful. Now that said, Porsche has managed to sort of mangle the trancendant lines of the old 911's, so I guess there aren't many cars I really swoon over any more.

Yeah I understand what you're talking about pennypinch. Personally I like older cars. Most of the newer designs from all manufacturers are screaming more plastic-y feel. Anyhow, there's a spot in my carage for an ol' MB 300 sl gullwinger .

I'm saving room for a 959. I wonder if the gullwing style dings more doors in the parking lot...it looks like it has a pretty large radius...

959 is sweet, but the modena is just a perfect freakin car, i cant understand anyone not liking it. as for the mercedes it would be too rough of a ride, unless you plan on just using it on the weekends, if i could get the ferrari, i would drive it ever day, and i might sleep in it. the only other car that really matches the ferrari's style and grace is the aston martin, i think its a new db7? i'm not sure, but it was in car and driver last month

I think the thing just has too many holes: I mean, take a look at the thing, holes in the top of the rear fenders, rice-racer air dams front and back, spyder top...I dunno. Porsche made the same mistake with the Turbo for 2001, and it looks awful...actually, the new body style looks bad in general, much prefer the 993's.

all those holes are there for a reason though. if we were talking about hondas i'd agree with you, but porsche and ferrari are two companies that do things for a purpose not just for looks, so i'd say its excusable.

Man with a car like that I would double park it everywhere. Oh and who cares about the rough ride, the car has class, character, style, and just plain out kicks major boo-tay. Of course it would be for weekends. You would be one sick rich nut to use it as a commuter car. Cars like the 300 sl aren't manufactured every year.

Well, functional holes are fine. However, they can be done tastefully, and on both the Modena and the Turbo, they just look...bad! Perhaps I'm just being dragged kicking and screaming into the new theories of aerodynamics, but I seem to remember designers being much more tactful with their exacto knives.

If you want a car with class, take a look at the mid eighties Testarossa... check out those beautiful combination of gracefull curves, sharp outlines, and a rear end that lets anyone lookin at it know that they're never gonna catch up to ya.

EDIT: And, to top it all of, you can pick up a good used one for under $75k

For the true extrovert. The Testarossa, I agree, was a very nice design, a bit nouveau-riche. The problem was it was never a great drive. It's measurables were top-notch, but then again, as we all know from the latest Supra, that ain't everything.
