Talking Way to cut back on gas guys. (Gas prices on the fall in SD)

Quote:
Gasoline lines returned to at least one San Diego neighborhood yesterday, but they brought smiles, not the grousing and acrimony associated with gas queues of the past. Motorists were generally happy to spend five to 15 minutes waiting for fuel at two Tierrasanta Boulevard stations because of their fuel price, which was $2.579 per gallon of regular yesterday, a level not seen here in months. Al Roeser, who logs more than 100 miles daily, said he hadn't seen prices as low as those in Tierrasanta anywhere in the course of his daily travels. "This is 14, 15 cents or more cheaper than anything I've seen," Roeser said as he filled up. The Utility Consumers' Action Network, however, reported that several North County stations yesterday were selling regular gasoline for about $2.69 a gallon. The local consumer advocacy group, which monitors area gasoline prices, also reported that the regional average price for regular fell to $2.885, down a little more than 6 cents over the past week and down to levels last seen in August. Farther east on Tierrasanta Boulevard, David Theweny, owner of Fill 'N Go, said his $2.579 price allowed him to turn a profit of about 10 cents per gallon. "Some people are trying to make 40 to 50 cents," Theweny said. Prices at his station should fall today to about $2.48, he said.
linkKeep it up everyone. Combine those trips. Vacation closer etc.

I listened to a radio interview today of someone claiming to be an energy expert. He said gasoline prices would fall to $2.50 soon, but that next Spring they would be back up past $3 a gallon.

but fall a little less and rise the same so we get a staggered linear curve. It's conditioning.

It's still high in New Orleans (I'm back in town this weekend). But $2.59(reg)/2.69(med)/2.79(prem) or so is the standard for rural areas in LA I've found. The city where I'm working (Jackson) only has 2 stations, an Exxon and a Mobil, right across the street from each other. Yes, they're the same company with the same gas, but different franchises. So if one guy drops his price, the other does as well. Keeps prices low. If you go 5 miles in either direction, the prices rise 10-20 cents. Good for me, as I have to commute to NOLA or to MS each weekend.

I'm looking forward to the drop in prices to start hitting here. I'd love to fill up at $2.25 or so for premium. Damn luxury cars and their fancy diets.

On our way back from Colorado ,we saw gas as low as $2.35. That was in Arizona. Was pleasantly surprized to get home and see it was down to $2.63. (El Cajon, CA)
