well, the mrs. and i are in the market for a new car...mainly because my '95 acura integra is by no means a family-friendly vehicle. we've (well, actually mostly just me) been looking towards something that's:

- safe
- fuel efficient
- roomy
- CHEAP
- and if possible, stylish

a friend of mine happened to suggest the mazda5 a few months ago. back then i haven't heard a thing about it. but looking more indepth and reading the reviews, it looks like this might be the one to replace my car.

but...and this is a big but...

i haven't seen the car/minivan/whatever-it-is on tv, billboards, magazine ads and it's been making me hesitant. why would a manufacturer not advertise what appears to be a nice car/minivan/whatever-it-is. is it possible that mazda's only testing the waters and doesn't really plan on making a full launch? what happens if i buy the car and in a few years, mazda pulls the line completely?
