I voted orbitz cause that who I got my Rome tickets for. But I use whatever is cheapest. If you're under 25 there are some students sites that are freaking cheap. Sadly, I paid double for the same flight to Rome as what some of my younger classmates paid.

heres what i go thru when i look for a good flight deal (in order of priority):
Southwest
AAA (from my membership)
expedia
travelocity
hotwire
priceline
and then the actual airline sites themselves (Sometimes they run a firesale on their own)

its a bit tedious, but ive found excellent deals everytime.

Mine used to be....traveled almost every week for business for 20+ years....hit 5 million miles on American Airlines alone. I was lucky, for business travel I just told my in-house travel agent what flight I wanted, what hotel, I wanted, and car, and it was taken care of.

I retired 2 years ago so now all travel is for pleasure.

To find cheap airline tickets I look to a site called Sidestep. They often have the best array of choices and prices. After that I also like to check Orbitz. Once I find a flight I always check the airline's web site. Often times they will a better deal on their own site than what others will show.

If I am looking for a vacation package....My most recent vacation (last month) was booked through CheapCarribean. As the name would imply they specialize in the Carribean but also Central America and Mexico. Some pretty attractive packages can be had there.

For a broader array of travel I use Gate1travel. They have vacation packages all over the world at very attractive prices. I have not booked there but have a family member that did an Italian vacation through them and said it was great.
