Anyone for Brownies?

I made a pan of brownies tonight-just to have in case company stops over..and I put peanut butter chips, dates, and pecans in them..then I frosted half with a very chocolately frosting and the other half only dusted with 10x sugar..I must say..they are pretty darn good..nice and moist, chocolately, yet peanutbuttery..mmmm..
oh and btw, the dates only make it more moist and sweet. It's a diabetic nightmare

That sounds like it would kill most people, diabetic or not. That being said, I had a pan of texas brownies for my birthday and they were/are exquisite.

Did I add that the brownies are even better once they start to get a hard crust on the outside? All it takes is one day exposed to air..crunchy on the outside, moist and juicy inside.

And would you be willing to share this delicious sounding recipe? I love dates and pecans and never thought of putting them in brownies.

heheh sure..get one box of Duncan Hines Brownie mix..follow recipe as directed on box. Add one package chopped/pitted dates and 1/2 bag (or more if you like) of Reese's peanut butter chips..add nuts if you like..make sure they are chopped then..bake. FROST 1/2 pan while HOT. Add 10x sugar while hot as well to the other side!..mmmm

I had the same question and yet in the back of my mind, i thought 10x sugar was powdered. Where did that term come from?

Snack for Visitors tonight..

Had some friends over tonight and threw this little gem together..
Crescent rolls, filled with swiss cheese and ham and raisins..they loved it. Personally I didn't try it, I was saving myself for the brownies~!
Crescent rolls to me are made from a multi-purpose dough..I've even rolled them out flat into a pan and baked them like puff pastry and then covered them with a cheesecake type filling..mmmmm GET SOME!
