What is a lipton side dish? LOL..
I usually don't make boxed side dishes but I do make similar things out of fresh ingredients. |

Of course it's always better to make the side dish from scratch, using fresh ingredients, but sometimes it's just not possible. Time contraints, etc. lead to using occasional "fast fixes". That being said, Lipton's are THE BEST. My favorite is the Spanish Rice. I'd LOVE to be able to duplicate the recipe, but in all my years of eating rice, I've never seen any homemade recipe that comes close. It's just yummy, and take 15 minutes to make, one dish, no mess. MMM, mmm. I've actually made a few packages at a time for work potlucks and it is ALWAYS a hit. People ask for the recipe and I tell them it's a family secret ![]() |

I just about lived off those things when I was a college student. I always liked the cheddar-broccoli rice. The mushroom one was good, too, though.
