mmmmm beans
Just had a hankerin' for some Cowboy Beans tonight..so I made 'em..yeeehawww!
Here's the recipe! 1/2 lb ground beef -cooked and drained 3 slices bacon-fried, drained and chopped 1/3 sweet onion-chopped(large pieces) 1 can red kidney beans 1 can butter beans 1 can pork n beans 1 can baby butter beans 1 pinch black pepper 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/3 cup molasses..mix together and bake till bubbly..this makes ALOT..so be prepared. It's a whole meal! Yummo. Oh, btw..drain and rinse all the beans but the pork and beans please! Last edited by oblongmelon : 05-11-2008 at 06:40 PM. |

you only get gas if you have a tendancy to do so when eating roughage.

OB - Cowboy beans! Another dish my mom made all the time when I was growing up. I always get nostalgic when I come to this thread and see so many recipes my mom made. I do cowboy beans about once a month.
