If I wanted to make something tasty and slightly romantic

What would I cook? I'd hope that it doesn't involve too much prep time, and I'd love to pair it with a good wine.

Anyone care to recommend a wine/recipe combo for a nice quiet evening in?

easy fallback - pasta, with a good red. Figure out what food you're making, and you can ask Trader Joe's for a recommendation.

I'm not sure if they still stock it (I don't think I saw it last time I was there) but TJ's used to have a (quite reasonably priced) Villa Cerrina Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Italian red that goes very nicely with red-sauce pasta (it's not as heavy as many chiantis).

Also while you are at Trader Joes, pick up some Korean-style Short ribs. 1 packet will be enough for two people (even if one of them is of a larger size, like yours truly )

They take about 6 minutes to cook, and with a easily done white rice and a light wine (I'd guess a Pinot Grigio, although I'm horrible at matching asian food and wine)

Something must be wrong with either my eyes or my brain, but I keep reading the topic as "something NASTY and slightly romantic"
