I like miracle whip on sandwiches, but prefer real mayo on my fries, or in recipes.

Same here. I do use Mayo, but usually only for recipes, not for sandwiches.

Ditto. Best Foods Mayo is the bomb on fries. Tried in Germany. Thought it seemed weird at first, but after I tried it, I was hooked.

mayo on fries... hrm

I've never tried straight mayo with fries, but rather flavored dips that are mayo based. not sure if i'm sold on that.

But otherwise, I always hold the mayo on everything. consistency is just a little nasty, and adds nothing. I always counter with the hotsauce or spicy mustard. I'd rather get a kick than a bland heavy ooze.

I wish I had a hot sauce squirting watch...

I like Hellman's Real Mayonnaise the best...

Every now and then, I'll use some Miracle Whip to make chicken salad (or any cold salad that needs a "tangy" flavor, but overall I still prefer mayonnaise over the whip.

I only saw it once, but ever since I saw that watch, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world, and I know I'd use it ALL the time.

I once worked with someone who dipped french fries in tartar sauce (it was a Red Lobster, so tartar sauce was quite available). I tried it and thought it wasn't so bad.

There is something about swallowing thick, goopy white stuff

I can't do it. It makes me gag.

But I love me some deviled eggs.

I honestly think that the whole idea that mayo is somehow gross is a culturally fabricated perception/mannerism. Its consistency is no different from ketchup or mustard. It tastes amazing. Considering the other things people eat in this country, the general aversion to mayo does not make sense at all.

Having said that I prefer to use a good glob of spicy horseradish sauce.
